Hitting
With his ability to hit for average and his sound batting eye, he makes a good No. 2 hitter. One of the nice things about Jan is that he's a real clutch hitter. Sneider always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Sneider tends to zone in on the power-alleys. Most of his outfield hits are to left and right center.
Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. Sneider is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
