Jocko Nixon
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting Nixon quickly learned that he could drive the ball out the opposite way. That knowledge has made him a better hitter because he now uses the entire field. I tell you, I've seen Nixon hit some majestic home runs. They're a thing of beauty. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. He uses the entire field and has gap power.
Baserunning & Defense Nixon isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Nixon is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.
