Clement Okino
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. But Okino, do us a favor. Stop throwing that changeup. It looks like a beachball. When you throw a curveball, it better break. Hanging curves equal earned runs in this league, you just can't get away with them. Unfortunately, Okino's curveball tends to hang. He's almost as effective against righthanders as he is versus lefthanders.
Defense & Hitting Okino's move to first base is average. Okino is nothing special in the field. Okino is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Okino has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Okino as a pinch-runner on occasion.
