First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. You can expect Gunther Millen to pull the ball.
Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. His arm is accurate enough. Millen doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often.
If Millen doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
