Jerry Petzold   Second Baseman | Free Agents Hitting In past seasons, Petzold has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Petzold is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Baserunning & Defense His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. Petzold isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. 2025 Outlook What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Petzold to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.           -- Moostard Nyman
