Keeshawn Poitier
Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. If you're going in to face Poitier, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. But Poitier, do us a favor. Stop throwing that changeup. It looks like a beachball. He's almost as effective against lefthanders as he is versus righthanders.
Defense & Hitting He doesn't have much of a pickoff move and he's slow getting the ball to home plate out of the set position. Poitier has been regarded as a poor fielder throughout his career, and last year was no different. Poitier is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Poitier has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Poitier as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2025 Outlook One has to wonder what Keeshawn Poitier is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Poitier.
