Jason Powdrell
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Powdrell has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Powdrell always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The switch-hitting Powdrell has better plate coverage and more power from the left side than when he bats righthanded.
Baserunning & Defense Powdrell doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Powdrell you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.
2025 Outlook Powdrell was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Powdrell?
