Benji Saberhagen   Second Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting In past seasons, Saberhagen has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Saberhagen always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Baserunning & Defense He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. Benji's arm leaves a little to be a desired. His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. 2025 Outlook What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Saberhagen to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.           -- Moostard Nyman
