Hitting
One of the nice things about Cortlan is that he's a real clutch hitter. The book on Sephus is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Sephus always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Sephus when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense
Sephus doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often. Minor league scouts have accused Sephus of being a liability in the field. His arm is accurate enough.
2025 Outlook
Sephus was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Sephus?
