This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Shimmin usually pounds the ball into the ground to try to get the most out of his speed. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense
He might not deliver for you at the plate, but Shimmin can certainly deliver in the field. He is an exceptional fielder. His arm is accurate enough. He's at his best in situations where a base has to be stolen, such as the late innings of close games.
