Neil Stroble
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One of the nice things about Neil is that he's a real clutch hitter. The book on Stroble is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Stroble always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. It's hard to explain but Neil Stroble plays much better on the road then he does at home.
Baserunning & Defense His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. Minor league scouts have accused Stroble of being a liability in the field. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.
