Paxton Zaccaro
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting Zaccaro seems to become especially focused in big situations. The book on Zaccaro is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Zaccaro struggles on the road.
Baserunning & Defense Zaccaro doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often. Minor league scouts have accused Zaccaro of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
