Hitting
Almenar never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Almenar has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense
Almenar has better-than-average speed, and he has made himself into a solid basestealer by developing a quick first step and studying the moves of pitchers. When you play Almenar you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.
2025 Outlook
Almenar was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I can't say I know what The Retired or Inactive Players were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best.
