David Berg
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Berg has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him. You can expect David Berg to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Berg doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.
2025 Outlook Berg was a rule-five pickup for the Retired or Inactive Players last year. I think The Retired or Inactive Players just didn't want to be left out of the Rule-V draft, why else would you sign Berg?
