John Briggs   Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players Hitting One of the nice things about John is that he's a real clutch hitter. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect John Briggs to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is. Baserunning & Defense Briggs has excellent speed and uses it wisely. He reads pitchers' moves well and is capable of stealing in any situation. Though he can range pretty far in both directions, he has bad hands and often can't come up with balls. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. 2025 Outlook Briggs has below average skills, even for the low minors.
