Rupert Heimsness
Right Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Heimsness always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.
Baserunning & Defense Heimsness isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. Minor league scouts have accused Heimsness of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.
