Melvin Yeargin
Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One thing's for sure, late in the game you're glad you have him on the field. The book on Yeargin is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Yeargin always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Yeargin when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense Yeargin is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. Melvin's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
