Starling Nyland
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting One of the nice things about Starling is that he's a real clutch hitter. The book on Nyland is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Let's face facts: Nyland hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Nyland when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.
Baserunning & Defense He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. Starling's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
