Pitching
Orndorff is a control pitcher; when he's on he has pinpoint control. He's got a really stong arm, so he can blow it by you on occasion. Orndorff will give up home runs, but rarely with the game on the line. Orndorff's fastball is a tick above average, in the 90-91 MPH range on most nights. Orndorff gives up his share of home runs, but is always around the plate and doesn't give up many walks. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
He has a quick release to the plate, which allows catchers a chance to throw out basestealers. He gets off the mound fairly quickly and his throws to first are hard. Orndorff is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Orndorff has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Orndorff as a pinch-runner on occasion.
