Lonnie Primer
Right Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. The book on Primer is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Lonnie Primer to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.
Baserunning & Defense Primer isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. Primer plays mostly right field, where his mediocre range and throwing arm are less than ideal. He'd be better off in left.
