Chuck Riviere
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Let's face facts: Riviere hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense His arm is below average but not a major weakness. Riviere isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.
2025 Outlook Riviere has below average skills, even for the low minors. One has to expect the Retired or Inactive Players will give him his walking papers before the end of the season.
