Bill Russell
Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players
Hitting In past seasons, Russell has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Russell is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Russell always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.
Baserunning & Defense Russell is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. Russell doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. Bill's arm leaves a little to be a desired.
