Joe Blaylock
Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching He keeps his pitches low in the strike zone and throws a heavy ball. He has an above-average changeup and the ability to throw from a variety of arm angles. He walks too many hitters and throws too many pitches. He traditionally fares better against lefties.
Defense & Hitting His pickoff move is only fair. Blaylock doesn't field his position well. Blaylock is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Blaylock has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Blaylock as a pinch-runner on occasion.
