Hitting
Lawford has quick hands and is able to cover the entire plate. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. The Calgary Remparts do tend to sit Lawford when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. Left field, right field, center: this guy puts it all over.

Baserunning & Defense
Lawford isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases. His glovework leaves a lot to be desired. Roy's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2025 Outlook
The Calgary Remparts signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Lawford like a hot potato if something better comes along. Lawford admits he probably never will have even average power.
